CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION – MAJOR CRIMES SECTION SEXUAL OFFENDER REGISTRY SQUAD

Throughout the months of April and May of 2010, the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Sexual Offender Registry Squad coordinated the “Spring 2010 Sexual Offender Compliance Enforcement Detail.” Detectives and patrol officers were mobilized to conduct unannounced checks at the addresses of all registered sex offenders monitored by the Anne Arundel County Police Department, which includes all the registered sex offenders living within the geographic boundaries of the City of Annapolis. The purpose of this detail was to identify any and all registered sex offenders that are not properly registered and in violation of law; and to aggressively enforce the law by properly charging any registered sexual offender found in violation.

As a result of this detail, the Sexual Offender Registry Squad verified the addresses of 375 verified sexual offenders. Of those, 371 were found to be in compliance. At this time, arrest warrants are on file for two wanted offenders that have not been located. The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Sexual Offender Registry Squad is seeking the public’s assistance in locating:

Glen Burnie, Maryland

Willie Floyd Brown, 50
last known address:
614 Greebriar Lane
Annapolis, Maryland

Brown has a warrant on file since 2008 and Gillenwater has had a warrant on file since 2009.
