Florence Police wants to invite you to "Be Ready Day" at McFarland Park on Thursday from 10:00am until 3:00pm. 
"Be Ready Day" is part of National Preparedness Month. Citizens are invited to come to McFarland Park & observe your local first responders. View equipment displays and participate in interactive demonstrations with emergency management agencies, law enforcement, and volunteer organizations. Also learn how you can be better prepared for natural and man-made disasters.
Governor Bob Riley will speak at 1:00 pm.
