The Harper Woods Police Department is pleased to announce our newest police officer has successfully completed the Macomb County Community College Police Academy. Justin Reeves joined the police department in November of 2009. Justin had been a member of the Harper Woods Fire Department before he resigned and accepted an offer to join the police department.

Justin was selected by the academy staff to give the class address at the graduation ceremony yesterday, May 24, 2010. Justin finished fourth academically and according to Police Academy Director Charles Craft, Justin “was selected to serve as class platoon leader, and was the recipient of the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards Outstanding Performance Award in recognition of his academic accomplishments, his leadership skills, and his professional demeanor”.

Justin becomes the eighteenth fully licensed police officer and fire fighter serving in Harper Woods. The Harper Woods Police Department is eager for Justin to begin his formal Field Training Program and we are confident Justin will be an outstanding addition to our team. Justin is married and the father of three boys.
