The Ashland Police Department would like to notify the community of the Patrick Henry Half-Marathon, which will be held from 7:00 am to 10:00 am on Saturday, August 29, 2009.

We ask that vehicular traffic proceed with caution through the areas where the race will take place. Ashland Police Officers and community volunteers will be directing traffic and monitoring the event throughout the Town’s roadways to assist motorists during the event. The following is a list of the
intersections, which will be majorly affected:

North James Street to West Patrick Street – Mile 4.5 – 7:20 to 8:00 am
West Patrick Street and North Center Street – Mile 5 – 7:25 to 8:10 am
North Center Street at US 54 – Mile 5.5 – Mile 5.5 – 7:27 to 8:10 am
South James Street and Hanover Avenue – Mile 6.5 – 8:00 to 8:30 am
Hanover Avenue at Stebbins Street – Mile 7 – 8:10 to 8:52 am
