Volunteers needed for **The 14th Annual St. Johns River Cleanup**. **Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 8am-11:30am**.

The 14th Annual St. Johns River Cleanup is fast approaching. In conjunction with the National River Cleanup Week, the next St. Johns River Cleanup is scheduled for June 12, 2010. This cleanup will be from 8:00AM to 11:30AM. Each year a group of Orange City staff and residents meet at 8AM at the French Avenue boat launch / Starks Landing, where French Avenue meets the St. Johns River in Orange City to help in cleaning up the river. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes and bring work gloves. Rakes, shovels, and trash grabbers may be helpful but not necessary. Steps should be taken to protect yourself from the sun. Bottled water is a good idea to bring. Pre-registration is preferred. Please call Elaine Hart at 386-775-5455 to register before June 4, 2010, so we can register our Orange City Team as a group. Participants will also receive a T-shirt.
