LifeStream and Hi-Desert Medical Center to co-host Blood Drive
JOSHUA TREE, CA--LifeStream and Hi-Desert Medical Center will hold a blood drive, Wednesday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Helen Gray Education Center on the campus of Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree.
It is recommended that donors eat a good meal before donating blood, and drink plenty of fluids. First time donors must bring identification. The process of giving blood takes about 30 minutes. Refreshments are served to donors. Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are recommended by calling 760/ 366-6324 or logon to www.LStream.org to make a reservation.
All LifeStream donors will receive an "Everyone's a Junior" coupon with their first donation and free Knott's Soak City voucher for each subsequent donation throughout the summer. Donors may also redeem their accumulated LifeStream donor points for additional Knott's Soak City tickets, season passes or Knott's Berry Farm tickets.
Hi-Desert Memorial Health Care District is comprised of 179 licensed beds: the Hi-Desert Medical Center, a modern, 59-bed primary care hospital and the Continuing Care Center, a 120-bed skilled nursing facility on the campus of Hi-Desert Medical Center. Along with a wide range of quality inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation services, the District operates the Airway Outpatient Center—a full-service surgery and diagnostic center, the Behavioral Health Centre—an intensive mental health outpatient program, and family health clinics providing medical specialists for Medi-Cal patients.
