Neighborhood watch success story.
We received the following email from a neighborhood watch coordinator. It shows how neighbors working together can have an impact in their community. (We've removed the names and changed some details) Sgt. John.
Give yourself the biggest pat on the back you can. You were alert, you paid attention to detail and you fought back. The Neighborhood Watch Program worked exactly like one is supposed to work. I am thankful there are people like you!
For those who are not aware, a group of people came down Rutledge from the apts in a fighting mood and being loud walked swiftly to the park, walked in the park walked to the other side and walked back. Then back up Rutledge back toward the apt bldg 0000. Street Captains called me, Three Watch members called the Sheriffs Dept, as well as I. We watched them and I think one of the members callled the parents on them too.
When I took my son to church I saw the same people in front of bldg 0000, I called the Sheriffs back and adv they are in front of the apt. A Deputy sat in front of the apts and the crowd pretty much dispersed. I did make a call to one of the Apt owners and he came out and searched the area and help clear the crowd
So what could have been, wasn't. What could have been no witness became the known because of alert members who kept a watchful eye.
It worked perfect, the phone calls, the alert eyes, the constant contact with each other.
Beautiful plan. Thanks so much team! Thanks so much. Thats how it should be done.
