Our detectives have received information from Grosse Pointe Park Police on a Gypsy type scam of one of their residents yesterday. At 4:00pm on Kensington Street "Subjects came to the door indicating they had a $50.00 refund for work that was previously done at the home. Male subject attempted to get the elderly resident to make change for a $100 bill. The female subject walked to a bedroom in the home that was occupied by a second elderly resident. The female was surprised by the second resident and both subjects left the home in a large older model dark van".

SUSPECTS

#1: White Male, possible Arabic, 50's, 5-8, husky build, slight facial hair, wearing a blue "Michigan" tee shirt.

#2: White female, 40's, 5-06, blond hair in a pony tail, chubby, wearing a white tee shirt

Residents are advised to never allow entry to their homes of strangers that you have not previously contacted to be there. Please keep an eye on elderly neighbors as they are the most frequent target of this type of crime. Report any suspicious activity to 911 immediately.
