As many of you are no doubt aware, this weekend is the tax-free shopping weekend that most of us in Texas look forward to each year as we prepare for our children's return to school. Because it will be a big shopping weekend, criminals will also be in and near the places we like to shop and eat this weekend. As a reminder wherever you do your shopping this weekend, LOCK your cars, TAKE your keys, and HIDE your valuables. This is much like the same message we promote during the holiday shopping season.
