CAMILLUS, NEW YORK, MAY 4, 2010 – On May 2nd 2010 The Camillus Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident, resulting in serious physical injury on Gere Lock Road in the Town of Camillus. The accident occurred at 0241 hours involving a single motor vehicle.



Preliminary investigation indicates that Michael L. Tita, age 37 of 571 Belfast Road, Nazareth, PA 18064, was critically injured when he jumped from the passenger seat of a moving minivan that he was a passenger in.



Investigation indicates that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Gere Lock Road by Tania L. Rose, age 37 of Bethlehem Pa 18018 when Mr. Tita opened his door and jumped from the vehicle.



On May 4th at approximately 1515hrs the Camillus Police Department was informed by University Hospital staff that Mr. Tita had succumbed to his injuries.

At this time no charges will be filed in the investigation.
