RED FLAG FIRE WARNING FOR THURSDAY. NO OUTDOOR OPEN FLAME OF ANY KIND ALLOWED.

RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM EDT THURSDAY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN UPTON HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM EDT THURSDAY. THE FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO AROUND 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH BY LATE THURSDAY MORNING. AT THE SAME TIME...RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL DECREASE INTO THE MID 20S AS TEMPERATURES WARM. SHOULD A FIRE IGNITE DUE TO DRY FUELS...ERRATIC AND POTENTIALLY RAPID FIRE GROWTH IS POSSIBLE. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE OCCURRING OR IMMINENT. A COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND DRY FUELS WILL CREATE EXPLOSIVE FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL
