After requesting and receiving a dedicated deputy, in 2007, to register, track and prosecute sex offenders, Sheriff Sanders continues to be vigilant in the tracking and registration of those offenders, keeping our neighborhoods safer and more informed.
The Garland County Sheriff's Department is currently tracking 188 sex offenders through the OffenderWatch program on our website, at http://www.garlandcountysheriff.com.
Through the program, users are able to view information on sex offenders that are living in their area as well as receive notification if an offender moves into their area.
Currently, there are 122 offenders that are registered in the County, outside of the city limits. Of those, there are;
10 - Level 1 offenders (Low Risk)
44 - Level 2 offenders (Moderate Risk)
54 - Level 3 offenders (High Risk)
1 - Level 4 offenders (Sexually Violent Predator)
and 7 that have yet to assessed.
