On Friday, April 23, 2010 the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department conducted a program entitled, “The Back Is Where It’s At”. The program is tailored towards elementary children to teach them the proper way to buckle a seat belt and re-enforces that the back seat of a car is the safest place for them. Eastern Pike Regional Police Chief Chad Stewart presented six presentations to the First and Second grade classes of Mrs. Thiele, Mrs. Mason, Mrs. Lambert, Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Hiller, Mrs. Padgett and Mrs. Connolly’s classes. There were approximately 180 students in attendance.
