The Gilford Police Department is requesting the assistance of the public with identifying a suspicious male/vehicle.

On Thursday, August 13th, 2009, at approximately 0417 hours, the Gilford Police Department was called to Fay’s Boat Yard in regards to a suspicious male inside one of the business’ buildings. Upon arrival, it was learned the business owner had confronted male, who fled in a tan-colored sedan.

In light of several thefts in this area, and last night’s incident, the Gilford Police is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male and/or vehicle, so that he can be questioned.

The vehicle, as mentioned above, is said to be a tan-colored sedan, possibly a four-door Oldsmobile. The windshield should be damaged, near the steering wheel. The male, described as being in his fifties, was around five foot ten inches tall, a rugged build, around one-hundred seventy to one-hundred eighty-five pounds. He has blonde hair and was not able to speak in a clear manner at the time of the incident. Anyone that has information that would lead to identifying this person are encouraged to contact Det./Sgt.
