On 04-16-2010, deputies responded to a disturbance in the area of Orions Flight Way and Santa Rosa Road in the Santa Rosa Valley. During the investigation, deputies learned that the suspect, Mark Pilkington, kidnapped at gunpoint an adult female with whom he had a prior dating relationship. The suspect forcibly removed the victim from the area in his vehicle. The victim attempted to escape and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, the gun discharged but neither party was struck. The victim eventually escaped and was transported to an area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and is still at large.
