INCREASED FIRE RISK THIS AFTERNOON-KEEP VEHICLES OUT OF GRASSY AREAS AND ENSURE PROPER DISPOSAL OF CIGARETTES

INCREASED FIRE RISK THIS AFTERNOON... A COMBINATION OF LOW HUMIDITY LESS THAN 30 PERCENT...SUSTAINED NORTHWEST WINDS OF 10 TO 15 WITH GUSTS OF 15 TO 20 MPH AND DRY FINE FUELS HAVE LED TO AN INCREASED RISK OF FIRES THIS AFTERNOON. THESE CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST TO PERSIST THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. RESIDENTS SHOULD KEEP VEHICLES OUT OF GRASSY AREAS AND ENSURE PROPER DISPOSAL OF ANY SMOKING MATERIALS. IT ONLY TAKES A CARELESSLY DISPOSED CIGARETTE TO IGNITE A FIRE. IF YOU SPOT A FIRE...PLEASE REPORT IT TO AUTHORITIES IMMEDIATELY
