The Village of Newtown has an important message for the community!
The Annual Newtown 5k Run/Walk will be held at 9:00am on Saturday August 8th.
The Course:
Begins and ends at Moundview Park, 3130 Newtown Road in Newtown. Plenty of parking at the start line. Relatively flat with splits at every mile. First aid and water on the course.
Divisions:
Male and female runners: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 60-69, 70+
Male and female walkers: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Corporate Team competition
Awards:
Awards to the top 3 finishers in each age division, first overall male and female runner and walker, first Newtown male and female runners and walkers. A separate award will be given for the corporate team competition.
Fees:
Pre-registration received by July 30, 2009 is $20, including a free T-shirt. Race-day registration is $20 for race participation and a T-shirt is $10. A corporate team sponsorship of $175 covers up to 7 runners, including T-shirts.
Packet Pick-Up:
Pre-race packet pick-up will be held in a different location each night for your convenience:
Thursday August 6 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Running Spot in O-Bryonville (1993 Madison Road)
Friday August 7 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Moundview Park in Newtown (3130 Newtown Road)
Race day packet pickup starting at 7:30 am in Moundview Park
Kids Fun Run will immediately follow the 5K Walk/Run.
