On 04/04/2010 Deputies, with the assistance of the Neah Bay Police Department, arrested 19 year old Neah Bay resident Joshua Swan for crimes relating to the Burglary of the Clallam Bay Liquor Store (16713 Highway 112) on 04-03-10.

On 04-03-2010 at approximately 1100 hours an employee of the liquor store arrived for work and discovered the front window of the business had been smashed out. Several bottles of liquor were discovered missing from the store. A rock was found inside of the business.

Liquor Store owner Tammy Hull contacted Deputies who responded to the scene to investigate.

Working in cooperation with the local community, several leads were developed.

On 04/04/10 Deputy Shane Martin and Neah Bay Police Officer Brandon Smith arrested Swan at his residence without incident.

Deputies and Officers also recovered several of the liquor bottles stolen from the store.

Swan was booked into the Clallam County Corrections Center for Burglary in the Second Degree, Malicious Mischief in the Third Degree, and Theft in the Third Degree. The investigation has been referred to the Clallam County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charging.

At this time the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated.
