There is a new press release on the webpage www.dcsonc.com ref to the murder that occurred on Ben Anderson Rd. Diane Smith was found in the residence with a gun shot wound after deputies executed a search requested by the Elkin city police department. The suspect is in critical condition at Baptist Hospital with a gun shot wound believed to be self inflicted.
