L.A. Airport police union ratifies new collective bargaining agreement.

LOS ANGELES - March 31, 2010 -- The Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association (LAAPOA) announced its membership overwhelming ratified a new collective bargaining agreement covering more than 425 sworn police officers and firefighters at Los Angeles International, Ontario International and Van Nuys airports.

Terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) were withheld pending approval by the Los Angeles City Council and Mayor.

"We believe the new MOU is in the best interests of our membership, the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles World Airports and all airport stakeholders," said LAAPOA President Marshall McClain. "We appreciate the vote of confidence of the membership in ratifying the agreement."
