NARRATIVE: The Ocean Township Police have investigated fifteen residential burglaries this month that
occurred during daytime hours in the Oakhurst and Wayside sections of the township. Four of the burglaries occurred in the garden apartment complexes. Some of these burglaries involved entry via unlocked windows and doors. Police are reminding residents to ensure that windows, doors and other means of entry to the home are locked and secured when unoccupied. Police are also asking residents to report suspicious activity as soon as it is observed rather than waiting to the end of the day or any length of time to report it. Anyone observing suspicious activity, persons or vehicles in their neighborhood should immediately notify the Ocean Township Police at 732-531-1800.
