BLACKSTONE RIVER FLOOD WARNING! RESIDENTS SHOULD MONITOR LOCAL MEDIA! EXPECTED TO REACH FLOOD STAGE BY MIDNIGHT.

The National Weather Service issued a FLOOD WARNING for UXBRIDGE RESIDENTS NEAR THE BLACKSTONE RIVER.

The Blackstone is predicted to reach flood state at or around midnight tonight. Flood stage is recorded at a level above 9 feet. The river is projected to rise to 14 feet by tomorrow evening.

* Residents should monitor media reports and local cable access stations.

* Ensure your home is ready.

* Plan for alternative housing in the event you need to evacuate.

* Minimize damage from basement flooding, especially near utilities, and materials that could be damaged.

* Bring children's toys, patio and lawn furniture indoors.

* Avoid inundated roadways.

* Avoid power lines and electrical wires.

* Be alert for gas leaks.

* Contact the Uxbridge Police Dispatch with public safety issues.
