Remington Police has an important message for the community!

Lock your vehicles when unattended, even if parked in your private driveway. Many surrounding jurisdictions have had thefts involving unlocked cars.

Criminals are entering vehicles and stealing items quickly that are in plain view such as CD's, IPods, and GPS devices. The majority of the thefts from vehicles have been from unlocked cars in front of the owner's residence.

RPD wants to remind everyone that if you see someone in your own vehicle or a neighbors, do not approach them yourself. Call 911 immediately and give the dispatcher a description of the person.
