Chula Vista – On Friday, March 19, 2010 Officers from the Chula Vista Police Department and Parole Agents with the State Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation conducted a Sex Offender Compliance audit. The goal of the operation was to make contact with 35 registered sex offenders registered in the city. The operation resulted in all 35 registered sex offenders being contacted by officers. The audit was aimed at making sure that all registrants within the city of Chula Vista are in compliance with local and state laws.

In addition during a DUI checkpoint conducted on 03-12-2010, 1 driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Arizona for being a sex registrant failing to register.

“This was a successful Sex Offender Compliance audit,” audit organizer and CVPD Investigator Glenn Isaaks said. “This is the third such audit in the City of Chula Vista in the past 3 months. We plan to continue doing them regularly as they are a valuable tool to insure compliance.”
