(Paulding County, GA) GE Security has donated equipment used for electronic surveillance to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Crimes against Children (CAC) unit to help support the efforts that are made to help protect child victims in Paulding County.

Keg Giles, who works in the security sales section of GE Security, responded to the need for this equipment and expressed that he and his company wanted to help provide the equipment that will be used to help improve the overall security and integrity of the CAC unit. GE Security donated a 16 channel multiplexer DVR valued at approximately $5,000.00 to the CAC unit. Giles has said that more will be provided as the needs arise and equipment becomes available.

The addition of this equipment will now allow for 24 hour electronic surveillance on the property of the CAC office. The interview rooms located at their office will now be recorded so that the video taped interviews can be used in court as evidence when needed. “It is no secret that video taping an interview will help prosecutors and detectives throughout the judicial process of a case,” said Paulding County Sheriff Gary Gulledge. “We have been using this technology for years in our investigations division to help build stronger cases and gain solid convictions of guilty persons. Because of the donation made by Mr. Giles and GE Security, we can now provide the same electronic support to the detectives that work in our Crimes against Children unit.”
