Advisory

Please read email alert for information on a daytime burglary in the area.

On Friday March 12th, the Readington Township Police Department investigated a daytime burglary. The burglary, on Roosevelt Rd., occurred between 10am and 1pm. Unknown actor(s) forced their way into the residence through a window. Once inside the residence, items were stolen from the master bedroom.

An older model, maroon sedan was seen in the neighborhood during the time of the burglary. It may have been driven by a female driver. Residents are asked to call the police should they see any suspicious vehicles or persons in their neighborhood.

Residents should call when the suspicious activity is happening. If a vehicle is involved, attempt to get a complete description and a license plate number if possible. Any identifying marks, such as window/bumper stickers, obvious dents, lights not functioning or other information that makes the vehicle stand out is helpful in its' identification. Advice the dispatcher of the direction of travel and number of occupants of the vehicle.

This burglary is the first in that area, but may be related to other burglaries occurring in the Hunterdon/Somerset County area.

Do not hesitate to contact the police department. The officers of the Readington Township Police Department would rather check on suspicious activity that turns out to be nothing, than to discover a crime had been committed and suspicious activity was not reported. Any information that you may have could be helpful in solving crimes in the area.
