Vehicle vs. child accident at 7:39 AM-Wimberly and Rusk results in no visible injury. 
The APD has received calls about an accident near a school this morning. The officer that investigated reports that an 11-year old female was struck by a vehicle as she crossed in the crosswalk at Wimberly and Rusk. The child had no visible injury but was transported by ambulance as a precautionary measure. The driver of the vehicle, a WF 22, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
