... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 7 am MST Monday...

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 7 am MST Monday.

* Timing: snow and rain have moved into western Arizona this
morning and will continue to spread eastward throughout the day
today. The heaviest snowfall accumulations are expected Sunday
evening through Monday morning.

* Snow levels: ranging from 6500 to 7000 feet on Sunday
afternoon... decreasing to around 5000 feet by Monday morning.

* Snow accumulations: total snowfall amounts from Sunday afternoon
through Monday morning will range from 4 to 10 inches.

* Impacts: driving conditions will be difficult due to slick icy
roadways and low visibilities.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of falling
snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery
roads and limited visibilities. Plan extra time for travel... and
