Single Vehicle Rollover Accident, Driver was Trapped

On 02-28-10 at approximately 1810 hrs the Scott County Sheriff's Office received a report of a single vehicle accident in the 7000 block of 112th St. Buffalo Fire Department, Buffalo Ambulance, Buffalo Police Department, and the Scott County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the scene. SCSO Communications advised units the accident was a rollover accident and the driver was trapped.
Upon arrival the vehicle was located in the north ditch near a small creek. Buffalo Fire Department extracated the driver from the vehicle by mechanical means. Buffalo Ambulance transported the driver by ground to Genesis East ER with non-life threatening injuries.
On scene accident investigation determined a 2007 Toyota Corolla, driven by a 21 year old Breanna Terry of Muscatine, was traveling northbound on 70th Ave just outside of Buffalo. The vehicle ran off the roadway to the right, ramped up and over a residential driveway causing the vehicle to go airborne and roll. The vehicle flipped several times and came to rest against a tree near a small creek. The vehicle's driver airbag did deploy in front of the driver who was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident. The driver was cited for Failure To Maintain Control.
