In preparation for the Virginia State Barbecue Competition Main St. will be closed from Webster St. (Police Station) to Oldtown St. (Robert's Citgo) beginning at 3:00 PM today. You may use Jefferson St. to avoid delays.
Also affected will be the cross streets of Grayson (from Rex Ln. to Jefferson St), Center (from Rex Ln. to Jefferson), and Washington (from Madison St. to Jefferson). You may use Oldtown St. to avoid delays.
The street will remain closed until Sunday mid-day.
If visiting the downtown area ensure vehicles are moved from the affected area prior to 3 PM to avoid delays in exiting.
