Brother and sister arrested for stealing $1700 in merchandise from Manville WalMart
While patrolling the Spinning Wheel Diner parking lot, Sgt. DeWire noticed Jeremy Klinger crouched down next to his vehicle.
Klinger confessed that he was about to urinate but he saw the officer and
changed his mind.
After Klinger entered the diner, Sgt. DeWire checked the area and located Christine Klinger hiding in the back seat of the vehicle. The officer believed she was under the influence of narcotics and observed computers in the vehicle with electronic security bands still around them.
A search uncovered $1,700 worth of merchandise in the vehicle that had been
stolen from the Walmart in Manville and Readington Twp. Jeremy Klinger and
Christine Klinger were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.
Christine Klinger was also charged with possession of heroin and possession
of hypodermic needles. When Jeremy Klinger was first seen by Sgt. DeWire,
he was actually securing his license plate back on his vehicle. He had used
a fictitious license plate while he and his sister committed the thefts.
They were both lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail. $10,000 full for
Christine Klinger, $10,000 with 10% option for Jeremy Klinger.
