NatWSvc.: FLASH FLOOD & DEBRIS FLOWS POSS. IN AND BELOW BURN AREAS IN SANTA BARBARA COUNTIES TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY

From The National Weather Service: A VIGOROUS STORM SYSTEM DROPPING SOUTHWARD ALONG THE WEST COAST IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE CENTRAL COAST THIS EVENING...THIS STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING RAIN...HEAVY AT TIMES...AND POSSIBLY THUNDERSTORMS TO THE REGION. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR RAINFALL RATES BETWEEN ONE INCH AND ONE AND A HALF INCHES PER HOUR FROM LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. RAINFALL AT THESE RATES MAY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING AND DEBRIS FLOWS IN AND BELOW THE RECENT BURN AREAS...PARTICULARLY THE STATION...MORRIS AND SANTA ANITA BURN AREAS IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY AND THE JESUSITA...LA BREA...GAP AND TEA BURN AREAS IN SANTA BARBARA COUNTY.
