Goffstown Police advising that the Piscataquog River will be above Flood Stage (over 9 feet) before 7 A.M. tomorrow.
The Goffstown Police have updated reports pertaining to the potential flood situation along the Piscataquog River in Goffstown. Currently, the river is at 6.77 feet and is expected to crest at 9.9 feet (flood stage is 9 feet) by 7 A.M. tomorrow morning.
The Goffstown Community Emergency Response Team CERT has been activated and will be doing a door to door advisory for residents in the low lying areas.
Motorists are urged to avoid the low lying areas due to heavy ponding. Residents in these areas that have flooding history are encouraged to take proactive measures to avoid being stranded in tehir homes. Residents are urged to contact the Goffstown Police and Fire Departments should they need assistance.
