The Paulding County Sheriff's Office has received several inquiries about donations being solicited in the name of the Cops For Kids Christmas Program. We have confirmed that the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is soliciting by phone for donations for their Cops and Kids program.

This program is similar to our Cops For Kids Program. Christmas presents are provided to the underprivileged children of our community through donations received by businesses and individuals. Our program is specific to Paulding County and Paulding County families.

We wanted to clarify that any donations made to the FOP's program will be specifically for their program, not ours. Those donations would need to be made directly to them.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office does NOT solicit by phone for donations for Cops For Kids. Fundraisers are held throughout the year (i.e. golf tournaments, motorcycle rides, etc.) to raise money for this program. Donations are accepted and would need to be delivered directly to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with questions about suspicious phone calls soliciting funds for a police related program may call the Paulding County Sheriff's Office to report or confirm the legitimacy of the call.
