On January 6, 2026, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the intersection of Sierra Highway and Technology Drive, in Palmdale, regarding a report of a female White adult who appeared to be suffering a medical emergency. The Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded and treated the female at the scene. She was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Investigators responded and assumed control of the death investigation. As with all ongoing death investigations, early information may change as additional facts are gathered.
The cause of death has not yet been determined and remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, which will make the final determination.
