UPDATE 1: The Cloquet Police Department, with assistance from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and our regional partners, continues to search for Daniel Latterell and Jane Korpela actively. Since their disappearance, we have conducted investigations and followed up on public reports of sightings, as well as other investigative processes.
We can confirm that Latterell and Korpela were last seen in McGregor, Minnesota, on May 26, 2025. Their current whereabouts are unknown. At this time, we do not have any information suggesting foul play; however, both individuals may rely on medical services or medication.
The Cloquet Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating Daniel Latterell (Age 64) and Jane Korpela (Age 62). Family and friends have not heard from them since Sunday, May 25. Daniel was last known to be with his partner, Jane, who is also missing, near 1600 Cloquet Ave, Cloquet, MN. They are vulnerable missing adults, and there is a concern for their mental health and safety.
Latterell is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds, and has hazel eyes. Jane is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 242 pounds, and has hazel eyes.
Daniel and Jane are known to be driving a 2010 gray Ford Escape with Minnesota license plate JEP512.
