On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 7:45 PM, the victim, 22-year old female Black, Raejonette Morgan, was driving south on Vermont Avenue in her white Mercedes. As she approached the 105 Freeway on-ramp, the occupant(s) of the suspect vehicle drove up next to the Mercedes on the driver’s side and shot at the victim several times. The Mercedes crashed into the corner of Vermont Avenue and the 105 Freeway on-ramp. The suspect vehicle continued south on Vermont Avenue.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has increased the reward to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s). The reward has been increased to incentivize new leads or tips from the public and encourage reluctant witnesses or informants to come forward with critical information.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau is requesting anyone with information about the murder of Raejonette Morgan contact LASD Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
