Westbound Interstate 20 at Bowman Springs is closed due to a multiple vehicle wreck. Find alternate driving routes.
Dispatch received a call at about 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, regarding a multiple vehicle wreck on Interstate 20 at Bowman Springs. At least 5 vehicles were involved in the initial accident, which caused subsequent chain-reaction wrecks to occur. It appears that a total of as many as 14 vehicles were involved. At least five people have been transported to local hospitals with what we believe are non-life threatening injuries at this point.
Westbound Interstate 20 in the area has been closed with all traffic exiting to southbound US Highway 287. All Highway 287 traffic attempting to exit to Interstate 20 is being directed to the eastbound lanes of Insterstate 20.
