Current Situation Stable.FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FOR RECENT BURN AREAS INTO SAT. RAIN POSS HEAVY AT TIMES

National Weather Service .RAIN...POSSIBLY HEAVY AT TIMES...WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE OVER EASTERN HALF OF SANTA BARBARA COUNTY AND ENTIRE VENTURA COUNTY THIS MORNING. THE RAIN WILL MOVE OVER LOS ANGELES COUNTY LATER THIS MORNING AND PERSIST THROUGH THE EVENING. THERE WILL BE A RELATIVE LULL IN THE PRECIPITATION TONIGHT...BUT ANOTHER FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL BRING MORE RAIN ON SATURDAY. IN ADDITION...THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS...ESPECIALLY ON SATURDAY. RAINFALL RATES COULD LOCALLY EXCEED ONE HALF INCH PER HOUR AT TIMES TODAY THROUGH SATURDAY...ESPECIALLY ACROSS SOUTH FACING SLOPES AND NEAR THUNDERSTORMS.

RAINFALL TOTALS THROUGH SATURDAY ARE GENERALLY EXPECTED TO RANGE BETWEEN THREE QUARTERS TO ONE AND ONE HALF INCHES ACROSS COASTAL AND VALLEY AREAS...WITH 2 TO 4 INCHES POSSIBLE IN FOOTHILLS AND MOUNTAINS.
