*** ICE - In Case of Emergency ***

Having emergency contact information readily available is extremely important in the event you are involved in an accident or other emergency and are unable to provide critical information to first responders.

The following tips will help you be prepared:

** Program your cell phone with the contact "ICE" and enter the contact phone number of your emergency contact (spouse, parent, other family member, etc.). First responders will check there.

** Register your emergency contact information with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles at this link:

(when a law enforcement officer or other first responder runs your driver's license in the system, your emergency contact information will appear and be provided to them)

Be sure to tell the person you've listed that they are your emergency contact. You may want to provide them with additional information, such as your primary care physician, known allergies, etc.
