Police and local dealership honor Manor employees for their involvement in catching car thieves
Centralia Police Chief Larry Evans is join by Cary Dickinson of Monken's Auto Sales of 1739 W. McCord to honor and thank Brookside Manor employees Jessica Reynolds, Kim Wolenhaupt, and Tyisha Taylor. On July 6th, car thieves from the Metro-East area arrived in Centralia and stole three vehicles from the Monken's car sales. The three males were aided by a fourth person driving another car. Once the three had gained entry into the stolen cars, all four vehicles left the lot at a high rate of speed determined to make it back to E. St. Louis. Thanks to the observations and the reports supplied by Reynolds, Wolenhaupt and Taylor, police were able to alert agencies west of Centralia who were able to stop three of the vehicles involved and make arrests. Investigators continue to work on this case in an effort to find the one remaining stolen vehicle. More arrests are expected in the near future.
The Police Department and Monken's greatly appreciate the efforts of these three Brookside Manor employees in helping to solve this crime. The Police Department presented each with a framed Letter of Appreciation along with Centralia Police Department Coins. Monken's provide other gifts including lunch for the entire Manor staff this afternoon.
