As the snow continues, and the temps continue to decline, we urge caution for all motorists in Town. 
As the snow continues and temperatures continue to drop, we ask all members of our community to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
APD officers have been monitoring the roadways and Town Public Works has been diligently working to clear them. Although a road surface may appear to be clear, black ice is a real concern right now.
We urge our community to stay home. Not only will this help keep you safe, but fewer vehicles on the road will allow our snow removal operations to operate in a more effective manner.
If you must travel, please drive very carefully allowing extra distance for stopping. Increase your following distance from the vehicle in front of you and please give the snowplows plenty of room to work.
We also request that you keep a special check on your elderly neighbors during this winter storm. We thank you for your assistance.
