Three citizens returning home to the 21700 block of Bournemouth were carjacked at gunpoint last night at 2:45 A.M. The victims had just returned home from a bar in the area of Gratiot and Brush on the Eastside of Detroit and believe they may have been followed by the suspects.

Two black male suspects exited a black Jeep Liberty, driven by a third unknown suspect and produced a dark colored semi-auto handgun. The suspects threatened to kill the victims and demanded their vehicle keys. The victims complied and the suspects fled in the victims vehicle south bound into Detroit, followed by the Jeep Liberty. The police were in the immediate area when the call was received and responded within seconds of the call. The suspects observed the police response from a distance and abandoned the stolen vehicle just across the Detroit border, where all three fled in the black Jeep Liberty. No one was injured and the victims vehicle is currently being processed for fingerprints. The following are the descriptions provided to police:

Suspect #1: Black Male, 20's 5'7" - 5'8" Stocky build, short braided hair, dark clothing, baseball cap turned to the side armed with a dark colored semi-auto handgun

Suspect #2: Black Male, 20's, 6'3" - 6'4" thin build, dark clothing, baseball cap turned to the side.

Suspect #3: Driver of Black Jeep Liberty - Description unknown.

The suspects are to be considered armed and dangerous. If seen in the area, call 911 immediately.
