Armed Robbery in American Canyon UPDATED AT 2:30 PM
On January 29, 2010 at about 9:21 am, American Canyon Police responded to the report of an armed robbery at Umpqua Bank, 3417 Broadway, in American Canyon.
The lone suspect entered the bank, pointed a handgun at the teller and demanded money. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen heading south, on foot. Five people were in the bank; three employees and two customers. No one was injured in the robbery.
The suspect was described as:
Black male, apx. 30 plus years old, slim to average build, 6’0 to 6’2 tall, with a deep voice–
Wearing a dark, full face mask, with light stitching around the eyes and mouth –
Wearing a puffy green, thigh length coat, with fur around the hood-
Wearing dark blue shiny sweat pants with a lighter stripe down the side and older white tennis shoes.
